Veteran Applications
Badger Honor Flight recognizes American Veterans for their sacrifices and achievements by flying them to Washington DC to THEIR memorials at no cost to them. We are actively flying Veterans from World War II, Korean War Era, and Vietnam War Era Veterans. Priority is given in chronological order of conflicts, with the exceptions being made for TLC (Their Last Chance) Veterans from any conflict/war:
We are only accepting applications from Veterans who served in the following conflicts or terminally ill Veterans from any conflict/war:
WW II: December 7, 1941- December 31, 1946
Korean War: June 25, 1950 – January 31, 1955
Vietnam War: November 1, 1955 – May 7, 1975
If you served ANYWHERE at ANY TIME, in ANY BRANCH, and in ANY COMPONENT (Active, Reserves, or National Guard) during the above dates you are considered a Veteran of that war/conflict.
TLC (Their Last Chance) Veteran – This is a designation given to a Veteran who has been diagnosed with a terminal illness and a life expectancy is less than twelve months. This Veteran can be from any conflict. Please contact us at 608-616-0243 to help you get the Veteran signed up.
Volunteer Guardians fly with the Veterans on every flight. They provide assistance and help our Veterans have a safe, memorable, and rewarding experience. We allow our Veterans to select their own Guardians if they meet our Guardian requirements. We do not maintain a Guardian waitlist for this reason. If you wish to be a Guardian, we suggest you contact another Honor Flight Network hub.
For what veterans and their comrades have given to us, we hope they consider this a small token of appreciation from all of us at Honor Flight Network.
If you know of someone who is a veteran who served during the times above or a veteran with a terminal illness, please fill out an application and send it in. And remember, every war veteran flies free. We will not accept donations from our veterans.
For further information, please contact us at (608) 616-0243 or via email at administration@badgerhonorflight.org
If you already have a guardian you would like to fly with you, please ensure they fill out a guardian application which can be found here
